Gourmet Doubles....Assembly Required

Americans have hot dogs, the Lebanese have gyros, Africans have Accra and Saltfish, but Trinidadians have identified Doubles as the number one fast food that's good at anytime of day.

This dish has made persons wealthy because of its simple ingredients and usually low overheads required to set up shop.

I never thought it would have been a dish I'd prepare until I choose to stun my family at a recent gathering. I made close to 55 of these and they went in less than 20 minutes! Makes me wanna setup shop on a weekend and earn extra cash!

So ow yuh want it? With or without? Yuh eating or is to go?

  1. Pseudo-chefs certainly know what they're doing, some people like pseudos because they might be themselves faking their behaviour and not even knowing it. Most pseudos don't know how unreal or unauthentic they are, some people do pseudo on purpose. As for a pseudo-chef he doesn't quite make his restaurant 5 star, but at best a 4 star restaurant, and serves olives, hummus, and red wine aping the chefs, as pseudos tend to ape real people and they have elements of the real thing, when the rest of them has nothing to do with that thing. I went to a pseudo-posh restaurant called Cafe Boulevard which is also a pseudo-cafe, and the food is good, but they serve breakfasts of baked beans and they sell Balfours custard tarts, that's not posh, yet at the same time the big breakfast is somewhat exquisite, first rate. It's posh but not too posh, at least it's supposed to be. But these "chefs" even carefully select the wine for you, at least it's the cafe owner that does it. But it's closed and they don't have Cafe Boulevard anymore. As for those pseudo-Australian dishes, like fish and chips and some other tosh, they serve them at Emperors Crown, which is a Chinese restaurant but they also serve Australian dishes, but I can ask for the correct wine glass and say the wine glass is not an authentic restaurant wine glass, which is served individually to everyone drinking the wine. It's just not kilter!
